Metal Slug, gotta love it.

Video/Arcade Games

GT Advance (type of game: Racing)
System used for: Game Boy Advance

I have been playing this game for a while now (ever since I bought my own GBA) and this game is sweet. Although I have not raced other people with my GBA this game is very good. It is the closet thing that Nintendo has to GT series on Playstation. You race to and upgrade your as you win new cars. The graphics are great except you have to look at it on the small screen. If you are good at racing like me this you will find this game to be easy. I have not played it for that long and have got gold on 90% of the tracks. If you like racing games, this is the game for you.

Conkers Bad Fur Day (type of game: action/puzzle)
System used for: Nintendo 64

This is a great N64 game that is worth purchasing if you are over 17. It has great graphics, sound, and a wonderful multiplayer mode. My favorite multiplayer mode is "Beach" in which you get to blow off immigrants heads.

Gameboy Advanced
(reviewed by WeezErFanZero)

Those of you who are into gaming, or are labled(by yourself or others) a gamer, should know that Nintendo's Next Gen handheld device is ariving soon. What does this Machine offer you? That's what I'm here to tell you. The American launch of GameBoy Advance is on June 11, 2001. I myself own a Japanese system( which is cool because both Japanese and American systems play American software). The game system it's self deliver in everyway expected by a next gen Handheld, it is lite, comfortable, and affordable($100). The GBA is a power house at 32 megabites of power (equal to Sony Playstation), and the system is backwards compatible which means it plays all Gameboy and GameBoy Color games. Popular games like Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2, Doom, Final Fight, will all grace the system with beatutiful graphics and awsome sound. Unfortunately there is only speaker which means it is MONO, but by plugging headphones into the included head phone jack, the system easiliy becomes an amazing stereo experience. If you plan to go somewhere where boredom is the main form of ENTERTAINMENT, the GameBoy Advance is your cure.

Iridion (Type of game action/flying)
System used for: Game Boy Advance (GBA)

Although I did not purchase this game I did have the ability to play it for about a half an hour, and boy was it sweet. The graphics are better than that of PS One and SNES. The game is kinda difficult on normal however, I struggled to get past the first boss in the first half an hour. The sound with the headphones on is very good as you dont have to deal with the monoral sound. If you enjoy games that envolve blasting enemies with your spaceship then this is the GBA game for you. However, if you are a puss that wimps out on more difficult games steer clear of this game.

Miscellaneous Stuff

Fear Factory concert (opening bands: Dry Kill Logic, Primer 55, and Puya.) at the House of Blues

This concert was great. Although a couple of the opening bands sounded a little off it was still great. Fear Factory was the best (of course) they totally rocked. The music was so loud that sometimes I could feet the hairs on my legs and my clothes move. I think it was, dare I say it, the best concert I have ever been to. I mean Metallica was good, but they were not half as loud as Fear Factory. The night was topped off when I got Dino (plays guitar for Fear Factory) signed my ticket stub which is shown below.

Dino's autograph, I know you are jealous.

Schurr High School Grad Night

Allow me to give you a summary of the whole thing. Charley Lara and I arrive up at the parking lot at nine. We wait for one hour to get onto out respective busses then leave. When we get to the Yacht (if that is what you want to call it) in an additional hour we are forced to wait about another half an hour to be frisked. When we get onto the boat Charley and I meet up again and go outside. After remaining at the dock for about half an hour we begin to inch out, as Charley and I peer out into the night we noticed a sail boat passing us up, which is redundant because there was no wind. When we finally started to move Charley and I decided to go play some Blackjack with our fake 100 dollars. I proceeded to make it grow to about five hundred while Charley got about 1000. However as the night closed we lost it all. Somewhere in between making and losing the money they served dinner in which Charley and I got none of. I thought it was supposed to be all you can eat. It was not like it was expensive food either, it was F**kING PIZZA. One would think that if every person on the boat paid 70 dollars to get on there would be enough food for everyone. While I was busy gambling there was horrific singing being done with horrific music which gave me a serious head ache. At about four the boat docked again and we ran out only to find the busses were not there yet. After waiting another half an hour for the busses we finally left. The highlight of the nite was when I ripped a huge fart outside of the gym, it felt really good; in fact I could go for another right now.

Schurr High School Aloha Dance
(Reviewed by Brian Kurose)

Man... what can I say? My last dance in my high school career turned out to be my worst! The night started off as I got to the dance around 9 cuz I had to watch the end of the Laker game. When I got there, I noticed that there
were a grip of people outside just kicking it. After talking with some friends, I decided to go check out what was goin on inside and how the dance was. After goin in, I quickly came back out cuz the DJ sucked my fat nut. So
then I went back outside to go talk with some friends again. Then there was a mass exodus of people leaving the gym to come outside. After askin one of them what went on, he said that the DJ was just fu*king toooooo terrible so
they all jammed outside. After talkin with some more friends, I decided to blow the joint on home. The only highlight of the day was when I saw a fight near the entrance to the gym, but that was it. Man... what a Fu*ked up dance.

Summer Break so far

Since my cd column is growing at such a tremendous rate I needed to extend the columns, so I decided to rate the summer break so far. Up to this time this summer has been moderately good. Charley coming over slightly raised the rating, but that is about all that has happened. I have been working so I can buy my Gamecube when it comes out. That is about all I have done over summer so far. I have also been out looking for crap for college. I want to get a trench coat, that would be sweet. This summers potential greatness is very high however because I am supposed to go to my aunts house before I leave to Davis. All in all so far this has been a slighly above average summer.
